I cant get my players screen to turn on. It may turn on when first plugged in but it quickly turns off and will not come back on. I tried the firmware update and it still isnt working. What do I do now?

Is it still getting power from the battery? A faulty battery would do this. Also there is a cable connection that runs from screen to circuit board. It slips in place. It may have come loose.
There is a problem with the firmware or the main circuitry. Normall a firmware update like you did would cure this problem. Was the update version compatible with your version rca?

You could have a bad ribbon cable connections from usb to circuit board or from battery to circuit board. If a firmware didn't help, you can try and press the pin sized button that is for a reset. If a reset doesn't help, and firmware doesn't help, you may have internal problems like loose connections
