I can't put in the 6-digit PC to my new BE365 Schlage. When the lock is idle, I put in the 6-digit code and the lock thinks I'm putting in the 4-digit UC, so it errors out. My 2 default UC codes do not work, either. I performed the factory default reset procedure and still none of the provided codes work. Basically, it seems as if the provided PC and both UC codes do not work

i know this is an old post but just in case someone needs an answer, this just happened to me too. The 6 digit code on the instructions is GENERIC, it is not the actual code for your lock. In my case 123456 is the 6 and 1234 is one of the codes so YES, that's why it thinks you're trying to unlock rather than program. Take the lock apart and get the actual programming code OFF THE INSIDE of the deadbolt. That should do it!i know this is an old post but just in case someone needs an answer, this just happened to me too.
