I connected out door X mas lights to the Utilitech 3 outlet photocell timer. the lights went on at dusk, as they were supposed to. But they started blinking on and off. what is worng?
Unfortunately someone went to great lengths to copy/paste the wrong instruction guide to this solution. Like me, the OP has a 3 outlet PHOTOCELL timer, not a 2 outlet DIGITAL timer. Photocell determines dusk/daylight/etc. We also have the same issue. Wondering if has to be connected directly to outlet. Ours worked fine when plugged into outlet. When we moved it after Xmas to run year-round lights, plugged into extension cord and problems began. No response to date on emails sent to mfg.
