I converted my dryer from natural gas to propane and there are no leaks but it's producing soot and melting my drier filter HELP! WHAT DID i DO WRONG?

Did you do it your self or did you have it done by a gas tech i suggest if you did it you not use it until you have it checked out and corrected b4 you have a fire or worse
