I currently have the Hp G72-250US laptop. When the laptop is on you can hear that power is on and running to the rest of the computer.. All except for the monitor. My screen is entirely black and wont turn on no matter what I do. Please hlep I need my computer for work

It is possible that your lamp burned out on the monitor. This is a matter for a tech shop to handle this sorry to have to inform you. Lamps do go out in the monitor depending on how old and how often screens stay on. It is an easy fix but have it done by a professional. let hope it is not a video card that is another matter indeed. Have it looked at by a good computer shop. John
