I am assuming when you say you disconnected power from the TV to install carpet, you disconnected the cables from the receiver to your TV. Depending upon your installation, you have a cable that comes from the dish located outside that is connected to a splitter and has 2 cables coming off the splitter. The 2 cables will connect to SAT 1 and SAT 2 on the back of the receiver. Your TV 2 connection either goes directly to your TV 2 or goes to a second separator, connected to the UHF/VHF connector.
