Dymo Letratags are thermal printers, so they don't use ink - just batteries and LetraTAG tapes. When the batteries are running out the text fades first even when the motor is still feeding tape, so change the batteries!
I thought my ink was fading and went to Office Max to buy a replacement. They told me my Dymo did not use ink. I read the recommendation above and changed the batteries. It Worked!
