I drained old gas that has been in tank for a couple of years and cleaned carbs, jets. it still feels sluggish gettin into the throttle. any suggestions?

Clean the valve attached to the tank where the fuel shut off is, make sure to get all 3 positions, (off, on, and reserve) also check the fuel lines, , you can run some lacquer thinner through the system,, just don't run it with that in the system,
