This is a Fault with Printer. It can be due to head clogged with ink, or bad contacts of the cartridges, so clean all contact surfaces and print nozzles (the last one with a moistened cloth).
This is a Common Problem with this Printer. They are aware of this Fault in Printer. You could try to Call them and get a Quote on Repair. ( Repair Cost Could be negotiated as this is a Common Error and they are aware )
I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge? Please consider the following: If you are using a refilled or third party cartridges that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges. They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors. If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges Don
It is to early to know for sure. I would start by purchasing new "Dell" cartridges and informing Office Depot that their refilled cartridges appear to have damaged your printer.
More than likely they will just tell you, "Tough luck!", but you really never know.
Next, I would run some deep cleanings and then I would try again.
With any kind of good luck, you will be able to print just fine.
