This is what I did after I couldn't find an answer online. Took the fat end, and kind of like a key chain ring, bent the last tiny bit where the spring ends. Then took this bent bit and then like a screw lead that into the jack end. From there just go in a circle and push the next bit of the spring into the jack end in a circle until all of the thicker spring part is back up and under the lip of the jack.
