I had a Droid 1 and the screen went black so I bought a LG Vortex. I don't think I saved my contacts to the SD card and I didn't have another email registered on my Droid so, how can I get my contacts and my gmail transfered to my new Vortex?? I know the user name for my gmail account but I cannot remember the password. I am desperate to get all my info that was stored on the Droid. I did take the SD card out of the Droid and put it into the Vortex. The only thing that transfered was my photos

On a regular browser, go to gmail.com and try the password recovery there. Once you know your gmail password you should be able to sync to any future Android based phone easily.
