I had a mouse hooked up to my laptop and it decided to freeze on my screen so I bought a new one and it installed ok but the cursor won't move on the screen. HELP!

1. Update you virus definitions up-to-date 2.restart the machine in safe mode by pressing F8, 3.Scan the machine and restart to normal mode and try out
Note: i can suggest Avast antivirus which has the capability to clean at the boot sector of such rids.
