I had a new radiator installed in 1995 geo prizm & now only get barely cool air from air conditioner, which immediately prior to installation was ice cold. Mechanic is saying there's no connection between the 2. I'm thinking he must have done something wrong
Hi Agarger, Your 'fixit' guy is correct....However, if he caused a leakage from the condenser (the thin radiator like equipment, mounted in front of the radiator) I'd suggest that you check to see if the gas pressure is correct and if not, have it inspected for leakage, if necessary have it repaired and then re-gassed....
Ask him if he remove the condenser prior to install the new radiator? have your system check for refrigerant level, if it is low, then it could have leaked out, or it was removed and not properly charged after installing the radiator, or they could have touched on the lines of the ac that made it leak some gas.
