I had my jump start hooked up to car lighter when I hooked it up to battery.. didn't notice it was in the on position. There was a spark and now the box does not work, nor does my car outlet. What happened?

Check the Lighter Fuse. It has probably blown. As for the Jump starter it also may have blown an internal fuse of failed completely. You turned it into a heating element when you connected it to the battery while plugged into the lighter. More or less you smoke checked it. Do you have a model number for the Jump start unit? I will see what I can find.

The unit has a 2 year warranty. If it is less than 2 years old return it for service. The manual is here with all the details:
