I Had this problem
.I download new driver for nvidia feforce fx 5500 and try to install , then writing "The nvidia setup program couldnot locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardwere, setup will now exit" when computer booting it shows NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5500, VER 1.08.03.
please help me to install ....... or give me current driver...
i had a 256 mb nvidia geforce fx 5500 malfunctioning. here the prob..the color is hmmm "breaking" i dont know but when i use this card it runs smoothly on the first time but as time goes by its destroying the colors

According to Nvidea this is the latest driver for your card presuming XP OS
