I had to change battery and the radio is asking for a security code. I bought the car used and the man i got it off of said he had no idea what i was talking about. How do i reset it or bipass it or some thing?

The only way to restore it is to call the Mercedes Benz dealer in your area and give them the VIN and serial number off the radio. They will give you the code and be sure to ask them about the proper procedure to enter it. Write the number in your owner's handbook(or somewhere you will find it). Be careful not to enter wrong more than 3 times or it will lock you out for 24 hrs. If you wish send me the vin and I will attempt tomorrow to call a dealer I do business with and get you the code and procedure. Let me know.
You will need to go to the dealer and show proof of ownership and they will give you the radio code. Some dealers will make you pay for them so call around to local dealers and ask.
