I have a sharp aquis 52 in. The screen has vertical color lines running through 1/3 of it. Can the screen be replaced at a reasonable cost?

It most likely is not the panel---which is the front screen unit.
The problem with all these sets is they only sell circuit boards; someone will have to open it and attempt to decide which boards to replace to see which is causing the problem.
Confirm to me the actual model number and I will attempt to give you a list of the boards this model uses and what they cost.
For the most part this is not a do it yourself repair. This is the real reason I (I repair these for a living) tell people to get as long of an extended warranty as they can.
