I hate to repost this but I am in a desperate situation, I have changed out the ISM, changed the battery, pressed the yellow button, even tried jumping the little box on the positive cable, as well as shorted the starter to get it going the starter is fine it will crank if I short the starter. I have also noticed that shorting the starter it will crank but it seems to not be getting fuel to the injectors or seems to not be receiving power to any of the electrical components in the engine bay. I will say this when I insert the key in to the ignition there is still no unlocking sound that you should hear, I am able to turn the ignition to the ON position and the car does its checks and on the SID sates that it is good, all lights on the dash come on as well as the running lights. Once I go to the start position to start the car all I get is a click! And all the lights go off, let go from the start position and all lights come back on but nothing, no crank to start. The car has been sitting for over a month now and I am out of clues as to what is causing this issue. I have checked the fuses and all are fine. I just want to start the car and get it to a dealer to get it checked. I am really starting to hate this car. Does anyone have any idea to what is going on with it? Also I had a friend of mine that came over to try to trouble shoot it as well and he had a code reader and the code of a P601 and P628 came on, but the computer on the car does not recognize it. HELP!
Code p601 is your computer code have you tried cleaning your battery cables if the computer not getting the right connection can sometimes set that code try that first take your dvom meter and touch the center of the negative and positive see what your batt voltage is should be around 12.4 to 12.6 if lower batt need charged if good take your negative lead and touch center of negative batt post take positive lead and touch out side of batt connector post should be the same reading shouldn't drop no more than .5 volts then do vise a versa that checks your connection to the batt post. try this. first
You definitely have to have a completely full charged battery for these cars.mine did the same thing drove me nuts I tried to boost it off and did same thing and after all other things I could think of took battery out of my truck and put it in it and low and behold it fired right up.those saabs are a funny outfit I don't like how there electrical system is set up.but that's what worked for mine just put a fresh fully charged battery in so hopefully this will do the same for yours good luck
