I have 05 altima. It will start only when I jump it then if I drive it dies within mins. I replace starter alternator and battery. I'm thinking its crankshaft sensor. But the car doesn't start but will start when I jump it. Can it be this?
A starter will not cause this problem. it will only cause a no start(no crank) or intermittent no start, starting only with a jump start eliminates it. it sounds more like a bad battery or defective alternator. a crank sensor will not start a car if its bad with a jump start. you need to have the battery tested and the charging system tested. check for codes in case this problem has set a charge code as some cars the pcm(computer) grounds the system to charge.
This sounds like a loss of power to the starter.. 1. check the battery for voltage.. should be about 12.5 v or better.. 2.get it started and check the output on the alternator. should be 13 -14.5v then check the battery again with it running to see if the alternator output is getting to the battery 14V+ If the battery violtage is low you could have a bad battery even if new. If the alternator is putting out and getting to the battery The new battery could be bad. If the alternator output is 14 or better and its not getting to the battery there is a problem in the wire that sends the output to the battery could be burnt or shorted between the alternator and the battery. 3. could be a loose battery cable at the starter, battery, or the Negitive battery cable is not grounded properly. check all this and make a comment to what you find.

Hi , you must check wiring from alternator to battery . And replace your battery terminals.
