I have 2 problems with my 1964 D17 Series IV engine belts: 1. One of the power steering pump tubes hits the exhaust manifold when attempting to tighten the power steering pump belt, which prevents using the last 0.75" of adjustment range. What is the recommended solution to allow the full range of belt adjustment? 2. The gap between the crankshaft belt sheave and the steering gearbox is to narrow for the belts to fit through. What is the recommneded solution to allow removing the old belts and installing the new belts (for the power steering pump and for the generator and coolant pump)?
