I have 2 units thru the wall one is working fine and the other is giving an f1 flashing code what does f1 actually mean

F1 error means that the communication between indoor and outdoor unit is not there and to solve this you have to check wiring of the unit, also check the pumps. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Yeah so it means its under warranty, it can be that there is connection issue and its better to get it repaired under warranty as it seems it was not installed correctly.
