I have 200+ Ithaca iTherm 280 printers around the country. They are the USB variety. Recently we moved off of the Windows drivers and onto the OPOS driver which has thus far been a problem. In some of our stores when the printer fires the cash drawer it throws the printer "offline" (or something) and locks the XP Pro computer up. The only way to immediately recover is to unplug the USB cable then plug it back in. If anyone has some ideas on where to go with this it would be so great! It is fairly intermittent which makes it annoying and difficult to troubleshoot. It is worse at some of our stores than at others. Thanks in advance
