I have 36 in Imperial SS gas stove with constant pilot lights on .i believe its a commercial unit.I am unable to start pilot light for oven ,rather it starts and as soon as i release red button ,flame goes out.oven does go on at all .Can someone help me

It sounds like the thermocouple which is heated by the flame is faulty its purpose is to hold the gas valve open so gas can flow but if the pilot goes out the thermocouple stops producing electricity and so the valve closes its there for safety reasons
