Relax , as long as your flash drive is not smashed with a hammer we can get it back up and running , your notebook on the other hand may need a little technical lovin'
if you broke a pin in the USB port , thats gonna take some serious work , if the notbook is under warrenty use the warrenty
if the notebook is passed it's warrenty , then you CAN do the job yourself , you'll need to remove a USB port from a junk motherboard or better , and use that to replace the broken pins
that does involved some soldering with a solder gun or pen which might cost you about 10 to 20 dollars as of 2008
