I have a 10 hp briggs single cyl. We did a rebuild on the carb as it was draining gas into the oil. It still is doing the same thing and am wondering what the problem could be. thanks
The fuel inlet needle valve is not functioning as it should. Could be debris between the needle and seat or bad needle or bad seat.
To test, clamp off fuel line and remove fuel bowl. Then remove clamp and raise float to a position parallel to carb body. If fuel continues to flow or drip then the needle valve is not working propery. If fuel stops then could be something interfering with float movement or bad float.

The seat may be damaged. you'll have to replace the whole carb
