I have a 1.4i,2000 model chico. My problem is that when the weather is too cold especially in the mornings, it does not quickly start. What might be the problem
When you start, you have to turn the key and hold it until it starts. But during the day when the weather is hot, it quickly starts.

Wow. where are you, and what is a chico? Anyway, by 1.4i, you mean it is a 1.4 liter injected? Does it have a cold start injector, like my toyota celica? (If it's not fuel injected, you may have a choke problem.) Kinda in the dark here. I had a chevy once that did the same thing, wouldn't start on first try. What I did was turn key and crank for a couple seconds, stop, then crank again-it always fired right up. Never figured that out, since it always worked. Try and see if it helps.
