I have a 1982 nissan truck 2.2 bosch with a piece broken that connects to the alternator ground and is 1 wire with a round barrel and I don't know what it is or what it does but the wire is burned and I need a new one. The alternator is making a loud noise and it is new and was checked off the truck at the shop. It only makes this noise after the truck runs for a minute but not at startup. This wire with the barrel is connected to the gound on the back of the alternatorand was arching and then separated from the barrel.
