I have a 1985 Whitfield pellet stove that has problems
I have a 1985 Whitfield pellet stove that has worked well until now. When the pellets drop, they do'nt catch fire right off...instead, they seem to smoulder for, gee, seems like more than a minute. Just not getting a good hot fire. Any imput folks? FrozeninMaine

Blockage/clean unit most likely
Check the basics first fuel (supply and quality of) Air flow and ventilation. If nothing obvious google {whitfield pellet problem]. My guess is that something is plugged up.
