Ok first thing to do is remove the cap off the distributer. then crank the engine and see if the rotor is spinning. also check to see if the igniton fuse/relay is good. make sure that the rotor has a good contactor and the cap as well
Check with a DC volt meter or test light to make sure that the coil is getting proper voltage when the ignition is switched on. You can also OHM out the coil to see if it is burnt open or shorted out.
A quart of Marvel Mystery Oil or Automatic Trans. Fluid in the crankcase and letting it warm up before you changed the oil might have helped pump up that collapsed/noisy lifter. Hopefully it will pump up after warming up as the lubricant will be thinner.

A week or a couple of hundred miles, then change oil as usual. Just replace one quart of motor oil with on quart of Trans fluid. Don't run straight Trans fluid.
