I have a 1990 dodge ram 150 i just replaced the starter in it went to hook the battery up and the starter ingaged when i conected the positive post can anyone tell me what i did wrong
So there are two wires going to the starter both coming from the positive post of my battery should one of the wires be going to the negative post

Look at the battery cable on the starter, it's touching the smaller switch stud. Or the starter relay is stuck.
