I have a 1991 GMC Jimmy and I am having electrical dash issues. What could it be? I tried a junk yard replacement electrical part for the dash and that didn't do anything. The only thing that comes on the dash is the trip and it stays on and the dummy lights come on and then go off. I am at my wits end and do not have a book for this truck

From what you describe, your dash gauge cluster has failed and must be replaced.
