I have a 1995 Corolla dx, 1.8 motor. 167,000 miles. Runs great full of gas. When the gas starts to get low, usually a quarter full, while making sudden turns the car accelerates sluggishly. Sometimes it does it going up and down steep hills as well. I've taken it to 2 mechanics and no one can find any "real" issues, as they would say. I'm left with no option but to go to the dealer, but I know they are gonna be high! It's either the dealer, or just keeping the gas tank full at all times, because the car runs excellent when the gas tank is full. Thanks for any advise

Keep the tank full. The gas is sloshing around when you turn and it is sucking air.
