I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota Sport Edition, V6 3.9 litre and it doesnt start when i turn it over. i have reason to beleive its the alternator. does anyone know what kind of alternator it takes? I mean how many volts it is? so i can get it replaced

Its going to be 12volts but what may be diff. is amperage that it can put out and this is usaully on alternator, but if the engine cranks over, I would not suuspect the alt.
