I have a 1996 250t Legacy Wagon which slowly over heats. Where is the thermostat on this engine. Fans also not coming on that i can tell Ther appears to be little or no water in the top left hand hose Thanks Bernard

Thermostat in on the underside of the engine on the drivers side. sounds like the temp switch is bad if the fans arent turning on. but also the 2.5 engines are pron to have an internal headgasket leak. if your overflow anifreeze bottle is overflowing then you ave a headgasket problem as well
