I have a 1999 Yukon, ran fine, I pulled the positive cable to clear check engine light while I cleaned it out, put the cable back on, starts, runs 2 seconds, shuts right back off, it is a flex-fuel system, little to no fuel pressure, and sometime alot,,it seems, i dont have a pressure guage, just replace the fuel pump, filter, and relay, still exact same, start up, shut right back off
You've triggered the anti theft security system. You will have to take it t a dealership to have the system reset so your engine will start. Regardless of what you've been told about clearing the computer codes, taking the positive cable loose is not the way to go. All you have to do is pull the fuse or fuses that go to the ecm or engine computer. That way, you don't mess wit the security system. Your radio may be locked down too. If it is, you'll have to go through a lengthy process to get the code to unlock it.
