I have a 2000 Acura Integra LS. The car started this morning and now it wont start. It will turn over and its getting gas, but still wont start up. I put in new spark plugs and still the same result. any suggestions?
If the batry is not the prob you can check your plug cables as well as your coil or coil packs. Some cars has a pickup on the crank pulley or on the flywheel. If its faulty it also wont start.
1. Clean the cables on the battery, even if they don't appear to have much corrision it doesn't take much to prevent the alternator from charging the battery at it's peak level. When you're finished try to start the engine.
2. If it still will not start, try to find someone to give you a jump. Even if it's cranking it may not be providing the minimum speed needed to allow the engine to start. Having atleast the Minimum, " Cold cranking amps ", required by your vehicle is crucial, especially in cold/cooler weather. If the vehicle starts with a jump you likely have an issue with your battery. Many parts stores will hook up a diagnostic machine to check your battery, alternator, and some will also check the starter for FREE.
