I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 ltr. It has a 6-way round set up. My trailer has a 7-way flat wiring harness. I need to know if i have to rewire my intire truck or if there is an adapter that i can splice in. And if i have to rewire the truck where could i find the whole wire harness

I had an odd type of fixture on my trailer too. I went to Tractor Supply and bought an adapter. I would imagine the brand of trailer you have should make adapter "PIGS" for what they sell. An RV parts outlet should carry something for you too.
Another place which may be able to help you is "U-Haul". They used to install trailer hitches and put permanent wiring into vehicles for an additional fee when renting their stuff.
