I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4. One day while driving it just stopped I tried to start it but all it would do is start for a few seconds. And die. I changed fuel filter and started it but would run for a few sec. And putter to a stop. When I turn key to on position I can hear fuel pump? Is it possible the fuel pump Is going bad. Please help ASAP

Could be. Does it sound kind of harsh. Should be a soft whirl sound. Could be the security system. Does the security light stay on? Do you hear the pump running after it starts? You can rent fuel pressure testers from auto parts stores.
