December 2020 0 20 Report
I have a 2001 mercury cougar that has gone into limp mode. One day I was driving it and it wouldn't do more than 30mph unless I floored it then it would increase gradually. I just got a new transmission a year and a half ago. I took it back to the guy to the shop who did it and he just told me my one year warranty was up and he could check it if I left it over night. I told him it drives fine for about five minutes then has shifting problems. When I came back a week later he told me nothing was wrong and when I checked my mileage it was the same as whn I left it. I don't have the money for a new transmission nor do I want to keep dropping that much money in it. Is there a cheaper way to fix it myself? HELP!
