I have a 2002 Ford Taurus, it was missing badly, check engine came on and the code was P0340, then on way home sounded like a belt broke and car quit, it won't turn over or start, it has a 3 litre 2 valve motor. Can anyone help

Sounds like your engine timing belt is shot.. If this is the case then you have a badly injured engine.. chances are the valves are bent and you have other damaged parts.. you will need to have the engine rebuilt and retimed.. or replace it..
