I have a 2002 Jaguar x-type 3.0 with 42000 miles that has a check engine light that comes on. Ocassionally when or usually when I sit at a red light too long or just let my car run at idle, a yellow light comes on as well stating cruise unavailable. If I try to accelerate rapdily when this light is on the car chuggs and seems like it won't shift. if I drive modestly for about a mile the light goes off and I can resume driving normally. Right where the exhaust comes off the engine underneath it is dripping water... How is water in the exhaust right there? there is a clamp connecting the pipes but there should be no water in there. I could see at the very end of the pipes in the rear maybe some condensation??? Finally I seem to be getting one or two drips of oil from the oil filter or where the filter connects every time I park it... I have tried 2 new filters. I have 3 error codes P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input P0182 Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Low Input P0163 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
In regard to water/condensation this is a good sign genrally if coming from the exhaust it means the engine is good, you get this a lot on new cars but normally by them miles it has stopped, but if you have looked after it then it's a possibility it could still occur.
As regard to the engine light and loss of power while the light is on, most likely this will be the EGR valve, thats " Exhaust Gas Recycler" valve this could also cause the condensation, it basically forces unburnt fuel/fumes back into the engine to reburn them effectively like a envioronmently friendly turbo, that keeps the emissions down. you will feel the car splutter and lose power if the EGR is at fault, and it can occur then go away for a few days then come back etc.
The Egr could also cause random error codes, kind of like a the computer is confused by the EGR and it has a knock on effect on other sensors not reading correctly. I would get this inspected before you go any further.
The error code for the 02 sensor could be triggered by this, although it could be both parts at fault, get the air mass sensor checked also. and inspect all air pipes for rips or holes etc, paying specail attention to the underside of each pipe and around the seals.
The oil beaing such a smal amount may be a gasket to the oil filter housing, basically its a gasket that sits back from the oil filter against the engine, not all models have this but worth a alook, does the car have an oil cooler?? please clarify.
Water or condensation could come from the EGR as the fumes are hot, this would in effect, if failing cause water to be in the cylinders when driving and would put up any of them error codes as the fuel would be geting diluted by the water/condensation in the cylinder thus pressure from or to the fuel rail. the 02 sensor would be confused by the high amount of water also.
I hope this helps, to be honest I can only think it will be the EGR and the oil fault unrelated unless the excess pressure is forcing oil from the seals.
