I have a 2004 Ford Explorer I put it on a diagnostic machine and the codes speed 2104 came up p 2106 and peed 2111 obviously I have a problem with the throttle body or and or the throttle positioning sensor with this cause my car not to start
On all such issues with codes , I would first , very carefully , unplug and plug in the electrical and vacuum " fittings " on the indicated parts . Check for damage . Also do a visual inspection on all the sensors and vacuum devices / lines .
I do not know if those codes would indicate a problem that would prevent starting ?
Go back to the basics , The engine must have air , fuel and spark . Are you getting fuel to the engine ? Air is probably OK , unless some one left a red rag in the air cleaner or down stream ducting .
Are you getting spark ?
As far as the TB & TPS , I expect the TPS will be the cheapest part , especially if you search online . $ 80 or less .
I suspect the TPS could be checked with an ohm meter ?
The TB is more expensive . I do not know if the local parts retailers could check that for you ?
