I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum. It starts and 3 seconds later it dies. It does that about 3 times and then it wont even turn over. This happened about a 4 days ago and again today. I am getting ready to take it to the shop. I was told it was the transmitter in the key. Does that sound correct? I know there could be other problems, but since it ran fine for 4 days in between I figured that would be the most logical explaination
If it was the key or the theft deterrent system it would have a light on dash with a key symbol I would check the relays in the power dist box for crank and ign make sure there good and if you have another key try it also and it's possible the receiver for tds is bad is is in the column and is around the ign switch
