I have a 2005 ford explorer sport trac xlt 4x4 when I switch the switch to 4 wheel drive nothing happens I have checked both fuse panels and the are ok Where do I go next
There should also be a relay check your power distribution box and passenger one for it in your manual Jason's answer is good and very possible here as well as the connector on the module also could be a bad wire use a continuity tester and a volt meter and clean any connections that look dirty or corroded
The switch could be faulty. You could try unplugging the leads from the transfer case then using a test light to see if the power is getting to the actuator.
