I have a 2007 lambo Gallardo Spyder and recently the cat overheat warning has come on and off. And whether this is relating to the issue is that during cold start i notice a lot of smoke coming out. However it will stop after warming up. Any clue this will happen? my mechanic suggests just a plugged cat , clean it out along with some related sensor should do the job. Could it be that simple? since the car is under warranty they might be trying to avoid major repair? Please help and many thanks
Plugged cat doesnt mean just plugged cat. there is a old saying cats dont die from old age.. they get murdered.. something is causing your cat to become plugged.. weather it is misfire or such!! I would go back and tell them just this and make sure they fix it!!! they are trying to get out of a repair.. I am assuring you they dont die from old age.. something kills them.. so there is something else wrong with your car!!! go back and tell them to fix it.. record log and keep reciepts if your engine blows up you have some leverage because it will be there fault!!! This could be really harmful for your engine!!!
