I have a 2008 ford fusion where the dome light stays on all the time, even with the doors closed. We just purchased this car and we think it is an electrical relay problem

Your problem is probably caused by a sticking door switch try spraying wd40 in the door latches and opening and closing the doors several time do all the doors or you can take it to the dealer and they can scan the body control module and tell you which one it is

Yes the door switches are built into the latch if you spray a liberal amount of wd40 into the latch and open and close the door 10 or 15 times it will work its way to the switch
