I have a 2009 Tahoe at 99300 mile with clunking symptom and all wet front shock. when i ask a service adviser at Checy dealer, and he told me that he thought the condition was not affected to claim to extended GM warrantee upto 100,000 mile, so he cleaned it out from shocks. is this correct procedure?
If the noise and oil leakage indicates a shock absorber failure and that is covered under warranty then he is obliged to replace it under warranty. I would contact the customer service division of the manufacturer --explain in detail and get the reply as to what was done was correct or not.. The manufacturer is more likely to help than a dealer who is only interested in making money from you.
