I have a 22 inch proscan television. i hadn't used it for about six months prior to now. The picture is perfectly fine, but the audio will not work at all. I have tried unplugging it and letting it sit for a couple minutes without power. I have also noticed now from plugging the power cord in that once the plug is inserted into the power port it gives off one spark. Prior to the six months it was in the box the television worked perfectly fine. Mute is not on and it appears that the speakers are turned on in the settings. Any help would be appreciated
It sounds that the audio output section circuit to your TV has the fault. The audio output IC, or speakers should be suspected. Contact any service technician. If you're sound in electronics, and wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.
