I have a 4.5 inch in dash dvd player and I think the hook up for this thing is causing my electric system to short out and I am getting some major noise coming through the radio along with other things like my doors not unlocking but if i dont touch it at all everything works fine but if i touch the volume or change the disk then i go to my car cant unlock it and the interior lights come on dim but no power I have a new car battery and alternator and starter its a 2007 chevy monte carlo

You likely have a shorted wire. Check wiring. I would suggest connecting to stereo wiring if you have a cd player. Otherwise ground wire straight to metal from dash panel or car body ground and run yellow wire to a fuse that has constant power or to radio yellow wire. Then red wire to ignition or radio ignition wire, something that gives power when turning on ignition.
You do have a bad ground or positive wire. Sounds like bad ground wire.
