I have a 96 geo prisim 1.6 ltr 3 speed automatic, and it won't shift till 35 and then at 65 mph very hard. What could be causing the problem and What can I do to fix the problem?

Double posted but is 3 speed, hyramatic.
There are several things that could cause this. One you could fix is the throttle cable that goes to the transmission. Called the TV cable. If it is not connected to the throttle linkage, it will cause this problem.
